Property Description: Named after a nearby meadow where deer often graze, the Big Meadows Lodge is located at an elevation of 3,510 feet. Accommodations at historic Big Meadows range from 25 rooms in the main lodge to 72 additional rooms in rustic cabins and in multi-unit buildings with modern suites. The original lodge was constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, contractors, and laborers using stone from Massanutten Mountain. Surrounded by grassy meadows where deer still graze, Big Meadows offers a relaxing and historic retreat with wildlife viewing opportunities. The best time to view wildlife is in the early mornings and late evenings, so remember your camera. A variety of lodging options are available at Big Meadows ranging from rustic cabins to lodge rooms and suites.

All rates based on single/double occupancy. A $4.75 NPS utility pass-through will be added to room rate, per room, per night. This fee is to help recover the cost of utilities in the Park. The price of utilities is much higher in remote elevated locations such as Shenandoah. Rates at Big Meadows Lodge subject to 5% state tax and 4% occupancy tax. Each additional person - $11.00. Reservations are confirmed upon payment equal to one night's room fee. Most major credit cards are accepted. Any charges incurred during stay may be paid with cash, check, or a major credit card prior to departure.
72 hours advance cancellation notice (prior to 3pm local time on the scheduled date of arrival) required for a refund of deposit less a $15 cancellation fee.
Check-in time is approximately 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
No phones in guest rooms. Pay phones in service areas.
