Property Description: Opened in 1935, this popular Grand Canyon lodge was designed by architect
Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter. Located on the edge of the rim, Bright
Angel Lodge is the check-in location for the famous Grand Canyon mule
rides. The Bright Angel lodging facility consists of lodge rooms
and cabin rooms. All cabin rooms include a private bath; however,
some lodge rooms offer only a shared bath. A Registered National Historic Landmark, the
Bright Angel Lodge is favorite among Grand Canyon visitors seeking both
a central rim location and a lodge with historic significance.
Bright Angel Lodge has a family-style restaurant, which is open for
breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another option for lunch and dinner, the
Arizona Room features Southwestern cuisine. During the warm summer
months, the lodge also offers an old-fashioned ice cream fountain.
Bright Angel Lodge is a popular choice, so make your reservations early.
All rooms inside the national park are non-smoking.
