Mesa Verde Jeep Tour:
Travel a thousand years back in time to a day of the "Anasazi", the
Ancient Ones, as they were called. Known as the builders, their cities
tucked quietly back in the cliff alcoves are a silent reminder of an
industrious people who once inhabited the Southwest. Their architectural
design is still manifested frequently by modern builders; the anasazi
were truly influential in their design and culture. See their artifacts,
understand their way of life, and delve into their spiritual awareness.
Come away informed and appreciative of who the Anasazi were, and how
they lived.
Tour departs from Durango (555 Main Avenue) at 8:00 a.m.
and is an 8 hour tour. Lunch is included.
Rates: Adults (ages 14 and up) $110;
Children (ages 13 and under) $85
Deposit/Cancellation Policies: Cancellations made
48 hours before the departure time of your trip will not be charged,
after that time all cancellations will be charged at a rate of 50% of
full price regardless of discounts originally offered. Changes made to
reservations may be accommodated at this time, but can not be
guaranteed. No shows will be charged full price.
Jeep & Train Combination Tour:
The most popular way to see Southwest
Colorado is a Jeep & Train Combo. You'll see more in a day than you ever
thought possible. The adventure starts at 7:45 am with check-in at the
office, located at 555 Main Ave., Durango, CO. Then, at 8:00 am we're
ready to roll via van to visit the authentic mining town of Silverton,
Colorado, nestled deep in the San Juan Mountains. Upon arrival in
Silverton, we transfer to open Jeeps to visit Ghost Towns and abandoned
Gold and Silver Mines at an altitude of 13,000 feet, where we provide a
light snack overlooking the scenic Silverton area.
We then return to Silverton for shopping, sightseeing and a lunch break,
where this friendly community shares its warm smiles and Southwestern
greetings. At 2:45 pm, we embark on a meandering journey aboard the
Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNGRR), one of the most
breathtaking locomotive engines ever to traverse the West. With plenty
of daylight, novice as well as professional photographers, can capture
the scenic beauty of the Weminuche Wilderness Area.

Deposit/Cancellation Policies: A
major credit card is required to guarantee your reservation and you will
pay for the tour upon arrival. Jeep and train combinations must be
canceled ten (10) days prior to the trip date, changes made after this
time will be charged a $25.00 fee. Cancellations will be charged at a
rate of 50% of full price regardless of discounts originally offered. No
shows will be charged full price.
