Red Feather Lodge Click Here To Make A Reservation Property Description: The Grand Canyon Red Feather Lodge is ideally located in the center of the small town of Tusayan, just one mile south of the south entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park on Highway 64, within walking distance of many restaurants, gift shops and the National Geographic Visitor Center. After a long day of walking or hiking at the Canyon, or being on the road all day, what better way to soothe those aching muscles than a splash in the heated outdoor pool or a soak in the outdoor Hot Tub? The pool is open from the middle of March until October, depending on the weather. The Grand Canyon Red Feather Lodge was originally built in 1963-1964 by Mr. R.P.Thurston. The Red Feather Lodge was the first motel built in Tusayan. The original motel had 44 rooms. In 1977, 66 more rooms and a restaurant were added to the Red Feather Lodge. This section of the property is the motel section. The motel is located adjacent to the hotel and has been a favorite of Grand Canyon visitors since it was built. This is a two story building with an outside entrance to each room. There is no elevator access in this building. This building is older, but it features all the amenities of the hotel along with a rustic simplicity. The motel features tub/shower combinations, and are equipped with heat and air conditioning. These rooms are smaller than the hotel rooms and the rates are generally lower. All guests staying in the motel section are welcome to use all of the services and facilities. In 1995, the Grand Canyon Red Feather Lodge added 126 hotel rooms to the property. The hotel is a three story building with interior corridors and offers modern, climate controlled rooms with hair dryers, coffee makers and data port phones. Relax amid the soothing Southwestern décor. The hotel section is located next to the seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The fitness center is also located in the hotel section. There is someone at the front desk at all times, 24 hours a day. For your convenience safe deposit boxes are offered, and fax and copy service available. Pet Rooms: There is a refundable deposit due at check-in and a daily pet fee. The lodge asks that pets are not left unattended in the room, and that you let them know when you are ready to check out so that a quick inspection of the room may be conducted. Nightly Rate: $80 to $159. * Rates based on a maximum of 2 adults per room and do not include tax. Deposit & Cancellation Policies: The reservation will be guaranteed with a major credit card, and you will pay for the room upon arrival. The cancellation policy is at least 24 hours prior to 4:00 p.m. on the scheduled date of arrival in order to avoid being charged for the room.
