Enjoy Sequoia National Park while somebody else does the driving.  Take a bus tour and let the expert guide show and tell you things about the park that you might otherwise miss out on.  The plush, air-conditioned van will pick you up at your hotel in Three Rivers, and take you on an unforgettable tour of beautiful Sequoia National Park.  At the conclusion of a full day of exciting activities and spectacular sights, the tour van will return you directly to your hotel.

Full Day Bus Tour:

Your Sequoia National Park Tour begins with courtesy pick-up service at your motel or resort in Three Rivers. You'll be whisked away on your picturesque journey in our comfortable air conditioned van to the Generals Highway as it winds its way along the beautiful Kaweah River.

  • Our first stop is along the river at Hospital Rock, where we will visit an ancient Indian Village and see the pictographs and bedrock mortars that were left behind.
  • From there, the highway climbs over 3,000 feet to Giant Forest. Along the way, we'll stop at Amphitheater Point to enjoy views of Moro Rock and points beyond.
  • After we enter Giant Forest, home of giant redwood trees and giant sequoias - , we will make our way to Moro Rock, where a short walk offers a stunning view of the peaks of the Great Western Divide.
  • Next, we're off to take a short stroll along Crescent Meadow, stopping in for a visit at the new Giant Forest Museum with its panoramic displays depicting the history of the Giant Sequoias.
  • Then, its time for lunch. There is no better place than the Wuksachi Lodge! The dining room, situated so you can sit and enjoy the view of the breathtaking scenery, including the forest and mountains, through the large picture window while you enjoy the delicious, moderately priced meals.
  • The tour resumes with a visit to General Sherman. Towering at 274.9' (83.8 meters tall) and 102.6' (31.3 meters) in circumference at its base, and with 52,500 cubic feet (1,486.6 cubic meters) of the wood, the General Sherman Tree earns the title of the "World's Largest Living Thing".
  • Our next stop is at the Lodgepole Visitors Center and market.

At the conclusion of the sequoia and redwoods tour you are returned to the Town of Three Rivers, where you are returned to the comfort of your motel or resort.

The tour starts at 8:00am from Three Rivers and returns at approximately 4.30pm.

*Price includes park entrance fees, ground transportation, interpretive naturalist guide, and all activities listed below. Price excludes lunch, items of strictly a personal nature, and guide gratuities as deemed appropriate. Park entrance fee is included in the cost of the tour.

Deposit & Cancellation Policies:  The full price of the bus tour must be paid in advance at the time of making a reservation, and the cancellation policy is at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date of the bus tour.


Half Day Tour (Begins at Wuksachi Lodge):

The half day Wuksachi Lodge tour leaves the lobby of Wuksachi Lodge at 10:00 a.m. and takes you on an exciting tour that includes Moro Rock, Round Meadow, Tunnel Log and the General Sherman Tree. The half day tour is the perfect choice for guests that will be staying at the Wuksachi Lodge.  If you are planning to stay in Three Rivers, we strongly recommend booking the full day tour.
