View from the Foot of
Lake McDonald at Apgar
This view looking northeast from near Apgar Village is for many
visitors to the park the quintessential Glacier view. On a clear
day the peaks along the Continental Divide dominate in the
distance. The wall of mountains visible at the head of the lake
is where the alpine section of the Going-to-the-Sun Road climbs
to Logan Pass.
The picture can only be seen during the daylight hours,
Mountain Standard Time!
