Yosemite Lodge at the Falls Make A Reservation At The Yosemite Lodge
Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is a modern yet rustic lodge that was redesigned in 1998. Today the main complex emphasizes glass and wood detailing to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings of the beautiful Yosemite Valley, including the Falls. The Yosemite Lodge offers 245 comfortable hotel rooms, as
well as an amazing peek into Americas history. Fort Yosemite, park
headquarters of the U.S. Army Cavalry, once occupied the area where Yosemite
Lodge now stands. The soldiers at Fort Yosemite were responsible for
administering and protecting Yosemite National Park from 1906 to 1914. The
NPS was established and assumed control of Yosemite in 1916. In June 1915,
future NPS director Stephen T. Mather selected Joe Desmond, an entrepreneur
from Los Angeles, to organize a new lodging facility on this site. Several
army barracks remained until the early 1950s, when the hotel was modernized.  Yosemite

Due to its central location, the Yosemite Lodge often sells out a year in advance. If you plan to stay at the Yosemite Lodge, make your reservations as early as possible. Nightly Rate: $223 and Up Deposit & Cancellation Policies: An advance deposit of the first night's stay including tax is required to reserve a room. The cancellation policy is at least 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date in order to receive a full refund of the deposit. If you fail to arrive on the scheduled arrival date, your reservation will be canceled and you will not receive any refund or credit of the deposit. The cancellation/change policy is strictly enforced, and exceptions are not allowed. Rates are based on a maximum of two adults per room and do not include taxes. There is an additional nightly fee for each extra adult in a room. |

Lodge is located in the Yosemite Valley, and it is the lodging facility
located closest to the Yosemite Falls. In 1998, the main complex
underwent a restoration that modernized the lodge with an emphasis on
wood and glass. Yosemite Lodge also offers wireless Internet for
guests who have their own wireless-ready laptop computers. In
addition, a kiosk with Internet access is available for guests who do
not have their own computers. There are no televisions or air
conditioning in the rooms at Yosemite Lodge. The lodge also has a
heated outdoor swimming pool. |
